Oryx Panca is a horizontal murphy bed with an upholstered bench seat and small double mattress It is designed to alternate between a comfortable bed compartment and a practical upholstered bench installed directly onto the front panel base. The bed’s modular design allows seamless integration into modular wall unit systems or bookcases with side panels.
The bed base is designed to accommodate 90, 120 or 140 cm wide mattresses with a maximum height of 18 cm. The bed folds horizontally against the wall, pivoting from its long side until the sleeping surface is parallel to the wall. A slow-release mechanism ensures safe operation, preventing accidental release of the front panel and allowing it to be opened effortlessly.
The star of this furniture unit is its practical integrated bench. Featuring removable cushions with Velcro fastening, filled with firm foam and available in the fabrics from the sample collection, the bench has a 60 cm-deep base that remains fixed beneath the sleeping surface when the bed base is lowered.
Compact and space-saving, this furniture unit can provide an excellent source of inspiration for multi-use interior design projects. It can be used within wall unit systems with bookcases featuring side panels, alongside hinged-door wardrobes, or beneath overbed structures. These solutions are ideal for interior design projects that make the most of every centimetre in studio apartments or living rooms with integrated sleeping areas.
