Oryx Scrittoio is a single Murphy bed with a desk and horizontal opening, designed to furnish shared bedrooms and make the most f every available centimetre. The intelligent design of this space-saving unit means that the same wall can accommodate a comfortable single bed or, when the bed is folded away, a practical desk for studying.
The structure, designed to accommodate 90 × 200 cm mattresses, is available with 3 or 5 cm-thick tops and side panels. It features a slow-release mechanism that prevents accidental release of the front panel while ensuring smooth, effortless movement. The unit is available in melamine or lacquered finishes in the colours featured in the sample selection, while the bed compartment can be equipped with internal side-mounted LED lights and power outlets.
Particular attention should be paid to the integrated desk, which moves in perfect synchronisation with the front panel. When the front panel is opened, the advanced Murphy bed mechanism eliminates the need to adjust the work surface. In fact, it remains parallel to the floor throughout the entire movement of the bed base. This means there is no need to manually remove books, documents, or other items placed on the desk.
Oryx Scrittoio is a versatile space-saving furniture unit offering multiple uses.
